"When Howard mentioned Joe’s daughter, Lucy, was a musician, she came into the studio to report she had a CD of her own coming out next spring. Lucy added that her father was the one who got her “in the door” with her record company, but her talent was the reason she was able to make an album. Lucy went on to note she learned a great deal about the music industry from Joe, and that they were closer than they’d ever been. Lucy then told Howard she used to play keyboards for Ashlee Simpson, and was at the infamous Orange Bowl performance Ahslee did when the crowd of 70,000 booed her."

"Following a number of complimentary calls about the James Gang’s songs, one caller claimed Lucy used to date Andy Dick. However, Lucy assured the caller that, although she knew Andy, they never dated in any way."

"Howard asked Joe if that was his daughter Lucy sitting out in the green room with him. Joe said that is Lucy and she's got her own record deal with Island Records. Howard asked Joe if he was going to introduce him to her or if he was going to leave her out there. Joe said he was going to leave her out there. Howard wondered if his daughter getting into music was a way to get in touch with her father. He said that might be part of it but she's got the music gene and she's very good."

"The guys brought in Lucy and she said that her album will be on Pop stations but she thinks that's what her generation is looking for. She goes by the name of Lucy Walsh. Howard asked Lucy about dealing with her father as she was growing up. She said she had to yell at him about his drinking to get through to him. She said that she now has a great relationship with him now that he's sober. Lucy is also working on a pilot for a reality show for MTV. Joe said that they're still trying to work that out and he thinks that the guys with ties at MTV get kind of worried when they hear the words ''Joe Walsh unscripted.''

"Lucy said that her album should be out next spring. She said she's about 7 songs into it so far and it's nothing like she expected it to be. Joe said that he's very proud of her for getting as far as she has so far. Lucy has gone out on tour with Ashlee Simpson and played keyboards for her. She also did some backup singing for her. She talked about doing the Orange Bowl with Ashlee and how they had 70,000 people booing them at the same time."

"Howard wrapped up with Lucy and told Joe that when he stays out of the parenting, his kids grow up great. Joe said he was very pleased when he got sober and got back together with her."
